Forging spur gears

Types of Bevel Gears

Spiral bevel gear

Spiral bevel gears are used to transmit power between two shafts in a 90-degree orientation. They have curved or oblique teeth and can be fabricated from various metals. In the first case, the mesh of the two bodies is obtained by fitting the hyperboloidal cutter to the desired gear. Its geometric properties, orientation, and position determine the desired gear.
